In this role, you will be the linchpin in the process of demand forecasting and order management, contributing to an optimal balance between supply and demand.
Job Description:
As a Supply Chain Planner, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of goods. Your tasks include managing inventory levels, placing orders with suppliers, and aligning demand forecasts with our sales and operations teams. With a keen eye for detail, you ensure timely delivery of customer orders. Additionally, you contribute to optimizing processes to make our supply chain even more efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze sales figures, trends, and customer data to create accurate demand forecasts.
- Order Management: Place, track, and monitor purchase orders with suppliers, including aligning delivery schedules and transport.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain an optimal stock position that meets demand.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with sales, logistics, and production teams to ensure an efficient flow of goods.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in supply and demand and proactively contribute to structural solutions.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports on demand, inventory, and orders.
- Supplier Communication: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and escalate any discrepancies or delays promptly.
- ERP Support: Accurately process order data and inventory changes in the ERP system.
Your Profile:
- MBO+/HBO working and thinking level, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment.
- Experience in inventory management and demand forecasting; knowledge of ERP software.
- Familiarity with Slimstock (Slim4) or other MRP software is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive and solution-oriented; you identify problems and think in solutions.
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Affinity with the furniture or retail industry is a plus.
