Modeus does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We store data for a maximum of 7 years due to tax compliance.

When we have no ongoing legitimate interest in processing your personal data, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal data has been stored in the backup archives) we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

This means you can request us to send the personal data we have about you in a computer file to you or another organization named by you. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to support@modeus.com. To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identification document with the request. In this copy, please redact your photograph, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, Citizen Service Number (BSN)/Social Security Number to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks. Modeus also wishes to inform you that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). How we secure personal data:

Modeus takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your data is not well secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service or via support@modeus.com. Modeus has taken the following measures to secure your personal data:

– Security software, such as a virus scanner and firewall.

– TLS (formerly SSL) We send your data via a secure internet connection. This can be seen on the address bar ‘https’ and the padlock in the address bar.

– DKIM, SPF, and DMARC are three internet standards we use to prevent you from receiving emails in our name that contain viruses, are spam, or are intended to obtain personal (login) information.

– DNSSEC is an additional security (in addition to DNS) for converting a domain name to its associated IP address; it is provided with a digital signature. You can have that signature automatically checked. This way, we prevent you from being redirected to a false IP address.
